Shopping Cart Casanova

By Sandy Cabral

Do you really know your man or woman? Are you tuning into his or her needs?
Want to find out? This article gives a situation that challenges the way men and women think. A real gender observation!

So did I catch your interest yet? Well I should have, if you’ve ever wondered about the different ways that men and women think. It is amazing what I observe every day. Take for instance the other day, (and I’m sure that someone out there can relate to this one), why would a man, who is married, go out of his way to get every woman that walks up to the local retail store a shopping cart? Hum-m! Just the women, mind you, not children or another man.

Now let me clear some of this up for you. The man didn’t work at the retail store in any way. He and his wife, (both middle aged), were potential shoppers, who were entering the store like everyone else. In fact they were just laughing and holding hands, until he let go of her hand to walk over to get a shopping cart. There the wife stood with his box of “Just For Men” dye and the receipt in her hand watching and waiting for him.

After five women, (also middle aged), had their carts given to them by this happily smiling man. The wife’s face changed in such a way that was clearly a sign of anger. She was no longer going to wait, but walked straight into the store, heading for the customer service counter. Later she walked out with a box of L’oreal Super Blonde hair dye for women.

Now, one might say that he was just being a gentleman. But a gentleman would be gracious to all that approached him to give them a shopping cart, would he not? Or is that the thinking of a woman’s point of view? I wonder if he is still looking for his wife in the store. Do you think that the wife, who was waiting for her husband, was being disrespected by her husband because he was only catering to the women? Or do you think that the husband needed some sort of validation from other women that he is still “The Man”? And what about the Super Blond hair dye? Looks like someone traded in one dye for another. Hum-m! What does that tell you? Men and women certainly look at things differently! Well, what do you think ????
